Services offered
Executive Coaching
Systems coaching for senior leaders facing complex challenges
For leaders navigating major transitions or persistent leadership challenges I work with you at two levels:
First, understanding the deeper patterns - the assumptions, mental models, and systems creating your current results.
Second, building practical action plans that actually get implemented.
This isn't about just feeling good or getting motivated. It's about seeing what you couldn't see before, and changing what matters.
Typical clients include ELs, Band 1 & 2 Australian public sector executives, corporate C-Suite execs, and managers new to leadership roles
What we work on: Leadership transitions, executive presence, influencing without authority, building high-performing teams, strategic decision-making, managing complexity, breaking stuck patterns
Personal Efficiency Program (PEP)
Proven system for managing workflow, priorities, and communication overload
Based on Kerry Gleeson's methodology, PEP helps senior executives and their teams cut through information overload, manage competing priorities, and work more efficiently without sacrificing quality.
I've delivered this program to hundreds of senior public sector executives with measurable results: reduced email volume, clearer priorities, better meeting management, and more time for strategic thinking.
Ideal for: Executive teams, senior managers, anyone drowning in email and meetings who needs a systematic approach to workflow management
Group Facilitation
Creating the conditions for real dialogue, collective wisdom, and breakthrough thinking
Sometimes the answer isn't in any one person's head - it emerges when a group thinks together well. I facilitate sessions where teams tackle complex challenges, navigate conflict, or need to align around difficult decisions.
Drawing on principles from Co-Development (peer learning and collective intelligence) and Co-Resolve (ensuring all voices - including dissenting ones - are heard), I help groups move beyond surface-level consensus to genuine breakthroughs.
This isn't typical corporate facilitation. It's about creating space where people can think together at a deeper level, surface what's not being said, and find solutions that actually work.
Formats: Strategy sessions, team alignment workshops, conflict navigation, peer groups in the same industry
Leadership Presence Development
Moving from "smart and capable" to "genuinely influential"
Technical excellence got you here. It won't get you to the next level.
Whether you're transitioning to enterprise leadership, stepping into C-suite, or finding that your brilliance isn't translating into influence, this work focuses on how you show up - not just what you know.
We work on: Reading the room. Managing your impact. Influencing without formal authority. Building genuine connection. Staying grounded under pressure. Leading from your whole self, not just your head.
This draws on my experience leading technology organizations and three decades teaching presence and authentic connection in non-corporate contexts.
Ideal for: Technical leaders becoming strategic leaders, executives preparing for C-suite, brilliant individuals who struggle with interpersonal influence
Recent work
Asia CEO Co-Development Meetings
The Challenge: Water utility CEOs across Asia lacked confidential spaces for peer learning and collaborative problem-solving on pressing operational challenges.
The Approach: Quarterly co-development meetings bringing together members of 300 Water Leaders. As facilitator, I guided CEOs through structured peer-learning sessions, helping participants explore new ways of thinking and crystallize shared insights.
The Result: Successfully launched Asia's first session in Kuala Lumpur in August 2025 with quarterly follow up in Bangkok. CEOs from utilities across the continent engaged in deep discussions, site visits including Asia's largest underground STP, and built lasting peer relationships with actionable strategies.
The next meeting is in Madrid in May 2026 at the Global Water Summit
GWI Co-Development programme spans Asia, Latin America, and Africa and is supported by The Stone Family Foundation and GRUNDFOS.
Team Efficiency
The Challenge: Executive team drowning in email, back-to-back meetings, and competing priorities - little time for strategic thinking.
The Approach: Delivered Personal Efficiency Program to the full executive team, with individual coaching on workflow management and team protocols for communication.
The Result: Members reclaimed 5+ hours per week each for strategic work, and reported significantly less stress around managing competing demands.

About me - How I work
Two Parallel Journeys, One Integrated Approach
For most of my adult life, I've lived what looked like two separate careers.
By day: 35 years in technology leadership - Head of IT at a major pharmaceutical company, program manager, transformation leader. Solving complex problems, leading teams, navigating organizational change in fast-moving environments.
By night and weekends: 30 years building communities outside the corporate world. I introduced Brazilian Zouk dance to Sydney, taught over 2,500 students, and developed 50+ teachers who went on to successful teaching careers of their own.
Everyone asked: "How do you have time for both?"
The truth? They weren't separate. They fed each other.
The systems thinking from technology made me better at building communities - I could see patterns, design sustainable learning experiences, and create structures that worked.
The community leadership made me better at understanding what really matters in organizations - authentic connection, genuine presence, how people actually influence each other, and how to facilitate transformation that lasts.
Why This Matters for Coaching
Most executive coaches come from one world: business, psychology, or consulting. I come from multiple worlds, and that creates a unique perspective.
When you're dealing with complex organizational challenges, I understand the systems thinking and analytical rigor required. When you're struggling with executive presence or influencing peers, I bring insights from decades of facilitating human connection and teaching presence.
When you need both - which most senior leaders do - I can integrate them.
My Approach
I take a transformational-behavioral approach to coaching. That means we work at two levels:
Transformational: Understanding the deeper patterns - the assumptions, mental models, and systemic dynamics creating your current results. This is where real breakthroughs happen.
Behavioral: Building practical action plans, clear goals, and accountability structures.
Insight without implementation is just interesting conversation. I'm not interested in motivational cheerleading or surface-level tips.
I work with executives who face genuinely complex challenges and are willing to do serious work to solve them.

Who I Work With
My clients are primarily Band 1 & 2 executives in the Australian Public Service, CTOs, CIOs, and senior strategic leaders in complex organizations.
They're typically brilliant analytically but know something's missing. They might be drowning in work, struggling with executive presence, influencing without authority, managing conflict, or feeling disconnected from their teams despite their best efforts.
They value intellectual rigor, appreciate direct feedback, and are committed to sustainable transformation - not quick fixes.
If that's you, let's talk.

I'm not the right coach for everyone, and that's fine.
I work best with:
Executives who face genuinely complex challenges (not simple problems)
Leaders who value intellectual rigor and direct feedback
People committed to doing actual work, not just talking about it
Those ready for sustainable transformation, not quick wins
If you want motivational cheerleading or someone to validate your current approach, I'm not your coach.
But if you're ready to see new paths of growth and build new capabilities that last, let's talk.
If you came recommended by someone else, I suggest we chat for 15 minutes for a chemistry meeting.
You will come with an idea of the type of systemic issues you face in your workplace and we discuss what sort of approach we will take.
Typical engagements starts with 3 sessions of 60 minutes ($ 1,400 + GST)
Many clients progress into longer-term engagements (typically 6+ months) to achieve meaningful behavioural change and results.
